Phil Malkin’s Dive for a Cure

Phil MalkinPhil Malkin was a passionate diver from Bicheno, Tasmania, who had many friends from the PADI family of PADI Divers and Instructors in Tasmania. Sadly, he passed away in January of this year after a courageous three-year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Phil’s family, Tach, Charlea and Beau are also divers and have mounted a campaign to raise funds and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation. They are organising the inaugural ‘Phil’s Dive for a Cure’ day on Sunday, 8th November 2015.

They would like to extend an invitation to all dive clubs and businesses to join them, wherever they may be, by having a dive at their favourite local dive site and donating funds to the Leukaemia Foundation in Phil’s memory. Tach has set up a Facebook page, Phil’s Dive for a Cure, where divers can register for the dive, buy merchandise and donate directly to the Leukaemia Foundation.
