We have all heard the term ‘Fiji is the soft coral capital of the world’ but is it really true? With many PADI Dive Resorts introducing more and more people their beautiful underwater paradise, word is definitely getting out!
PADI Regional Manager Jen Clent has been diving in many different locations around Fiji and is 100% behind this statement! From the northern reaches of Fiji to the top of the Yasawa Islands and down to Kadavu – Fiji’s pristine waters have something special!
Tourism Fiji’s Business Development Executive Cameron Taylor also recently traveled to Fiji to find out. Cameron was invited to Vomo Island Resort situated in the Mamanuca group to complete his PADI Open Water Diver Course.
Here’s what Cameron had to say:
“After completing my online training with PADI I recently travelled to Vomo Island Resort in Fiji to complete the practical side of my dive certificate.
It had been explained to me before I left that their facilities, equipment and PADI expert dive instructors were of the best standard around so I was very excited to embark on my adventure with them.
When I arrived at Vomo Island I was not disappointed, the staff at Ocean Play were absolutely fantastic, they were welcoming, very knowledgeable, very skillful and made my experience one to remember.
My Dive Instructor Ornella (OJ) was very professional and very thorough taking me through all the important steps before we explored the many fantastic reefs that Vomo Island has to offer.
Fiji is a wonderful place to learn how to dive and with the many PADI sites available you will be sure to get the best equipment, Instructors and dive sites the world has to offer.”
Cameron enjoyed his course and the diving in Fiji so much hes already gone back for more and with more than 60 PADI Dive Resorts to choose from across multiple of Fiji’s beautiful islands there is no shortage of options no matter what you are after!
